Hi Subscribers. This is not another rant about the insanity of society encouraging young vulnerable individuals to unquestionably believe they are the opposite sex to their biological sex (or no sex or some heretofore unheard of sex), and to cosmetically alter their healthy bodies in support of such belief, sacrificing their fertility and sexual function, and becoming life-long medical patients with multiple health challenges they would not otherwise have to contend with. Nor is it a rant about society encouraging male-bodied individuals to enter private female spaces, and usurp girls’ and women’s sports because they think they’re girls/women. (Okay, I had to get a bit of a rant in there.)
Instead, I want to let you know that I am appearing as a guest on the very first podcast of an amazing writer (and now podcast host) on the subject of all things gender - Jenny Poyer Ackerman. Jenny has a Substack entitled, aptly and cleverly, “TransMuted,” and I cannot recommend her Substack enough. She has a trans-identified daughter, which is what got her into this mess, but she is using this life-challenge to inform the public about what’s happening, and to provide some very useful analysis along the way.
The podcast should be airing today or tomorrow, and I hope you will check it out. That having been said, I want to apologize for any rambling on my part. Call it a character flaw. I am by no means an expert at podcasting, any more than I am an expert at writing for Substack, but desperate times call for desperate measures. I have decided that I will speak out, in writing or with my actual voice, however imperfectly, if it might help even one person who is dealing with the challenges associated with the rush to medically alter healthy bodies, invade women’s spaces, and gaslight a generation. If you get a chance to listen to the podcast, feel free to let me know what you thought of any of the subject matter by leaving a comment here, and certainly let Jenny know what you think.
I’m guessing you wouldn’t be a subscriber here if you weren’t interested in these issues, so thank you for taking the time to read this, and to listen to the podcast. Even if you don’t listen in, thank you for thinking about what’s happening to an entire generation, and for thinking about how society can be vulnerable to group-think and irrational ideas when they are packaged in the right way. Independent thinking may be just the thing that will save society from a terribly destructive trend!
Thank you - very excited to listen to this!
